A song of Innocence

I want to sing a song of glee,
For someone I do care for,
To whom my heart’s opened a door,
A song that all might sing with me.

A song of innocence, of pure admiration,
That rains sweetly on a desert heart,
Awakening spring to spread its art,
And keep in heart pretty appreciation.

I asked a piper to give me a hand,
To paint my verse a musical flow,
To color the beats in a tone to go,
That all who love can sing in a band.
